Andrea Taeggi (Bergamo, Italy, b. 1982) was educated as a jazz and classical pianist. He's a graduate of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he majored in jazz piano. He's currently been exploring the sound programming of synthesizers, samplers, sequencers and working with prepared piano, little percussion, harmonium and unusual sounding objects 

Lately he's been tuning his instruments (acoustic piano, synthesizers, samples) in Just Intonation, after designing his own scale. The combination of just tuned instruments and electronics has become a central issue of his band Lumisokea 

Andrea was one of the six semi-finalists of the Europe famous YPF 2009, after being selected among dozens of young musicians 

In October 2011 he released 'Automatons' with one of his projects ( on Dutch label Eat Concrete (

He is featured on a CD distributed by Challenge Records ( YPF – 'Live at Bimhuis' available at )
