Turkish Esra Dalfidan is a jazz vocalist born and raised in Germany. At a young age of 4 years she starts with musical lesson and plays classical guitar up until the age of 19. She studies music therapy and works for two years in neurological rehab before she moves to Amsterdam to change her focus to jazz singing and study at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.

In 2006 she wins the first price in the Dutch Jazz Competition for Vocalists. Esra graduates her Master education with Honors in 2007. At that time she is already focused on composition and performing her music internationally with her quintet: Esra Dalfidan's FIDAN.

With this formation she has published two albums and perfoms regularly at jazz podia and international festivals such North Sea Jazz (The Netherlands), Ankara Jazz (Turkey), Catania Jazz (Italy), Euro 21 (Germany) etc.

Next to her works as a performer she toured with Jeugdtheater Sonnevanckas a singer and actress playing one of the main roles in the music theater play "Woestijnwind".
